This summer, we launched the first ever AIA Canada Honor and Merit Design Awards and AIA Canada Student Award “New Talent Discovery of the Year”. Submissions closed on September 30th, 2020.
We are excited to present our jury members:
Greg Yager, FAIA, International Representative to the AIA Strategic Council (Chair)
Grace Kim, AIA, Chair of the Seattle Planning Commission
Sam Oboh, FAIA, Principal at Ensight+Architecture.
The winners will be announced during the AIA Canada Chapter AGM in November. Public endorsement will follow later in the month during the AIA Canada E-Conference jointly with AIA IR and the other AIA International Chapters.
We are planning for the AIA Canada Chapter AGM, which will take place on November 12, 2020.
So far this year, we have delivered courses for our membership totalling 8 Continuing Education Credits (4 HSW). A new AIA Canada 2020 CES Webinar on ETFE Cladding Systems is scheduled for October 22, 2020.
We have been engaging with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, which is the national voice of local government representing 90 percent of Canadians. We are excited to partner with them to deliver a presentation during the AIA IR 2020 Virtual Conference: Catalyzing Change.
