AIA Canada: Learn how the Federation of Canadian Municipalities is working with local governments of all sizes to tackle national and global challenges
Description
Local solutions are key to tackling national and global challenges. As the order of government closest to people’s daily lives, local governments understand the issues that matter to Canadians. The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has been the national voice of municipal government since 1901, representing 90 percent of Canadians. FCM offers loans and grants, training, and resources for municipal environmental projects through plans and studies, pilots and capital projects, in each of the following of FCM’s programs: Green Municipal Fund, Municipal Asset Management Program, and Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program. Find out how architects can act on climate change.
