A series of plywood structural systems, bespoke flatpack furniture, and modular solutions for contemporary cities. A journey through the exciting world of digital fabrication and the manufacturing of joinery details and prototypes.

Speaker Bio:

Tomaso Boano (MArch, ARB) is a founding director at London based architecture, design, and manufacturing firm Boano Prišmontas. The studio adopts a creative and hands-on approach as a strategic tool to propose design solutions to the contemporary world. Tomaso studied Architecture and graduated with honors at the University of Genoa, Italy. During his career, he worked in various international architectural and multidisciplinary practices such as Ensamble Studio, Studio Seilern, BDP and Allies and Morrison. He has been a lecturer and speaker at IUAV (Venice, Italy), Leibniz University (Hannover, Germany), Architecture Foundation (London, UK), FORMA (London, UK).

Several notable projects: “Minima Moralia”, London Festival of Architecture 2016; “Quiubox”, Milan Design Week 2017; “Aidah” Dubai Design Week 2017; “165x165”, part of the Unfolding Pavilion during the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2018; "The Arches Project", finalist at "Building of the Year Award 2020" by Archdaily.
