Dear AIA International Members,
This is a quick reminder - if you have not already done so, we urge you to renew for 2025!
AIA International is continuing with its exciting program of events this year, from our virtual Spring Conference - which you can now watch on demand - to the AIA International Conference in Sri Lanka in October. Our Global Mentorship Program will connect even more emerging architects to mentors around the world.
We are supporting the ongoing growth of our 5 International Sections which are serving to better connect our members to the AIA. From AIA Latin America to AIA South Korea, all the Section teams are working to enrich the member experience in their area.
We are also excited to have new benefits for our International Associate members - AIA has introduced dues discounts based on the World Bank Group income classification. This means that if you are an International Associate based outside the high-income countries, you will receive discounts on your National and International dues in 2025. We continue to advocate for other membership categories to benefit from similar dues discounts in the future.
The discounts are as follows:
Adjustments to AIA National dues for Intl Assocs (calculation is based on Architect dues)
High-income countries: 27% discount
Upper middle-income countries: 50% discount
Lower middle-income countries: 75% discount
Low-income countries: 90% discount.
Adjustments to state dues (AIA International) for Intl Assocs
High-income countries: No discount
Upper middle-income countries: 50% discount
Lower middle-income countries: 75% discount
Low-income countries: 90% discount.
With this, we believe that AIA International provides good value to our members at every career stage. However, we recognise that the cost might be a barrier to some members. Therefore, we want to remind you to contact us or your local chapter if you are experiencing financial hardship and want to request dues relief, and we will try to find the best solution for you.
Once again, we are grateful to have you as part of our community and sincerely hope you renew your membership for 2025.
With warm regards,
Yew Kee Cheong, FAIA, MSIA
AIA International President
