UIA EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2024

AIA International proudly participated in the recent UIA Extraordinary General Assembly (UIA EGA 2024) held in Kuala Lumpur. Representing the United States as a Member Section from Region III, AIA was led by Kimberly Dowdell, AIA, NOMAC, President of AIA. I had the honor of serving as the second delegate in my capacity as President of AIA International.
An unforgettable final day of the UIA Extraordinary General Assembly, marked by moments of slight drama and palpable tension as deliberations unfolded. The session culminated with voting on all 18 items on the agenda.
Business aside, it was wonderful to reconnect with old friends and forge new friendships from other national institutes of architecture.
