As Hong Kong has gradually loosened its COVID-19 restrictions over the past two months, we have been grateful for the opportunity of hosting in person events. These include building tours of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre, Bishop Hill Reservoir, Haw Par Mansion, and Shaw Auditorium where our members were excited to meet each other in person. Webinar attendance remains strong and we delivered webinar on Transitional Housing and First Projects by Eric Howeler FAIA and Meejin Yoon.
The AIA Hong Kong Chapter 25th Anniversary Symposium: Connectivity and Placemaking in the Greater Bay Area series was successfully hosted on June 30 in hybrid format, where experts in the region shared their work on connecting the different cities in Greater Bay Area.
Our upcoming events include: a webinar titled Every Building Counts: Keeping 1.5°C Alive by Ed Mazria, FAIA; and gathering at the legendary Yung Kee Restaurant.
