AIA Hong Kong Update - March 2021

AIA Hong Kong's 2021 theme, "Serve and inspire," celebrates distinguished service in our community to inspire a new generation of citizen architects. Following our recently completed 2021-25 Strategic blueprint, the Chapter aims to support and grow our membership by investing in members' services.

To this end, the Chapter's IT platform is being revamped to better support remote collaboration and e-gatherings. Programs is launching an exciting First Projects interview series to speak with emerging practices from the region and around the world about their first commissions. YAG has completed a path to licensure workshop jointly held with local universities that are on the Canberra Accord and is launching our mentoring program.

Public response to our efforts so far has been encouraging, as seen in the rise of new inquiries for student and general membership. While this may not translate immediately into overall membership numbers' growth (key performance metric), we are taking measures to target our efforts. Communications is tracking engagement analytics, and we are happy to report that the Chapter is gaining traction on growing followers on several key media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Follow us for the latest on upcoming events and members’ accomplishments. We will continue to use these data to guide our programs in Q3 and Q4.

Finally, we are looking forward to resuming physical events in March with the arrival of the vaccines and relaxation of social distance requirements.
