On Sunday September 12th, we gathered for a Liangma River Rejuvenation Urban City Tour.
The Liangma played an important role in Beijing's history. As a part of the Grand Canal, it was used to carry resources and construction materials to Beijing, making a significant contribution to the development of the city.
We brought together designers and strategists from AECOM, Steven Holl Architects, UNDP, and Liquid Design to share their experiences working alongside the river. The itinerary included: MOMA (Steven Holl), Liangma River landscape design (AECOM), Genesys (KPF), Bulgari hotel (Foster + Partners), UN Development program, Langma River lighting design (Liquid Design). We finished off the tour with drinks at Arrow factory.
For October, we are planning a Happy Hour + Talk (HH+T), as the first event in our Sustainability cycle. We are inviting young architects who incorporate wood or bamboo into their projects, focusing on people experience and sustainability. Speakers will include Song Yehao (SUP Atelier) and Martijn de Geus (Maison h).
