When planning your day, please bear in mind that the first 3 houses are within walking distance of each other, while Casa Pedregal is at least 20-40 mins away by Uber.
Important Notes:
Each of the 4 houses is independently owned and requires separate registration in advance. Attendees are responsible for registration and payment.
Places are strictly limited due to the capacity of the houses.
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the houses.

CASA LUIS BARRAGÁN
A transcendent work of contemporary architecture, Barragán’s home until his death in 1988 has been faithfully preserved since. It was recognized by UNESCO on its World Heritage list as a masterpiece in the development of the modernist movement that merges traditional and vernacular elements.

CASA JARDÍN ORTEGA
Designed and built between 1940 and 1942 and inspired by gardens of the Alhambra, this house and its gardens represent the first time that Luis Barragán worked for himself and reflect his thoughts on architecture and the art of making gardens at that time.

CASA GILARDI
Barragán's last work, Casa Gilardi set a standard in Mexican architecture, which has served as inspiration for future generations, both in concept and in its design and sensitivity. As in all of Barragán's architecture, the spaces offer a multitude of sensations, through the play of lights, colors, distribution and architectural elements, such as the staircase without a railing that seems to levitate under overhead light.

CASA PEDREGAL
ADDRESS: Av. de Las Fuentes 180, Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón, 01900 Ciudad de México, CDMX
A pink volume on a bed of volcanic stone. Casa Pedregal is a piece of history of the Pedregal gardens area and its conception. Light and shadow, closed and open space, stone and wall, rock and concrete. Respecting the landscape and flora of the place as much as possible.

How to get there
For Casa Luis Barragán, Casa Jardín Ortega, Casa Gilardi –
Take the Metro to Constituyentes then walk, or take an Uber. These 3 houses are all within walking distance.
For Casa Pedregal –
Take an Uber. Consider the location of this house, it is at least 20-40 mins drive away from the rest.
