Dr. Vollen is the national high performance lead and director of architecture for the Northeast region. He focuses on leveraging the intersection of energy, finance, and policy to deliver high performance and sustainable design solutions that reduce both capital and operating costs to maximize value for clients and to deliver solutions that are net zero energy capable. As a high performance design specialist, his approach takes advantage of the first principles of building physics in order to provide lower energy intensities while improving occupant comfort.
