Martyn is a consultant based in western Canada and he guides organizations in the identification and implementation of best value programs and projects. His work has taken him to almost 30 countries. He says that he is extremely fortunate to have worked on value improvement for projects in such a wide variety of subject matter areas as: major building complexes, flood relief, environmental protection, healthcare, learning, highways, manufacturing, management processes, mining, oil & gas, offshore, petrochemicals, rail, stadiums, water and wastewater.
Martyn has a technical background in building and structural engineering. He has been a Fellow of 2 engineering institutions since 1988 and, more recently, 3 value management societies. As well, in 2012 Martyn received the Value Analysis Canada’s Award for Innovation; in 2018, he received the Canadian Value / Life Value Achievement award.
Martyn has written a suite of 8 books (including 1 e-book) on the topics of value enhancement.
