Event Description
Seamless integration between indoor and outdoor spaces is a defining feature of Studio MK27’s work. In this talk, we will explore three projects—Flag House, Studio SC, and Ourânia Building — that exemplify this architectural approach, where nature and built space merge into a continuous experience.
Each project presents a unique dialogue between materials, light, and landscape. Flag House dissolves the boundaries between a home and environment through expansive openings and thoughtful transitions. Studio SC reinterprets urban architecture with courtyards that bring nature into the heart of the working space. Ourânia transforms a compact building into a fluid interplay of openings.
Through these three case studies, we will discuss how design strategies such as framing views, controlling transparency, and integrating natural elements create a sense of openness and harmony. By challenging conventional separations between inside and outside, Studio MK27 redefines how architecture interacts with nature—blurring the line between shelter and landscape.
