AIA Southeast Asia - Learning and Application Potential of Informal Architecture in Southern Vietnam - With Emphasis on Sustainable Materials

Event Description

The emergence and development of informal architecture is closely related to the sustainable architecture movement, embracing proximity and reflecting the complexity of life in a natural way—something that previous architectural styles have often avoided. Many potentials of informal architecture are still being researched and applied, prompting architects and urban designers to perceive this branch of architecture as an essential factor to be respected and developed rather than a nuisance to be eliminated. The use of materials in informal architecture is also a potential aspect that can be studied and applied in contemporary architecture.
