Description

Founded in New York in 2005, and subsequently established in Hong Kong, in 2007, ESKYIU is a multi-disciplinary studio that explores how architecture intersects with transformative cultural landscapes, media, products, print, experimental fabrication systems, educational tools, and social sustainability.

This First Projects talk will focus on those aspects of social, technological and environmental change as they relate to the built environment, especially as to how architects might seek to expand their role beyond disciplinary boundaries, benefit from collaborations with experts in other fields, and take a hands-on approach to design and implementation.

What We Learned:
1. Always try to carve out space and time for one to think and contemplate design issues that we are interested in and curious about
2. Keep looking for opportunities to ask questions about the society around us every day
3. Architects can rethink our role as community builders and positively impact the future of our society
