Honorary Fellows Keynote Lecture: Jan Gehl - Cities For People
Event Description
This talk presents hands on experience on city planning from many case studies around the world. It sheds light on the way cities were built in the 20th century, exposing the lack of quality of life that was offered to people. But it also shows how improvements later on made cities more liveable. These include citywide networks of bicycle lanes, continuous sidewalks, safer road crossings and better public transit.
